C.I.W (Care Inspectorate Wales) encourages the improvement of social care, early years and social services by regulating, inspecting and reviewing to provide professional advice to Ministers and policy makers. Darling Buds Nursery is inspected annually to ensure that we maintain our excellent standards of childcare and effectively support children through the Birth to Three Matters Framework and Early Years Foundation Phase. Following an inspection, the Nursery receives a full written report detailing the Inspector’s findings, which can be viewed via the C.I.W website, or at Darling Buds on request. Our most recent Inspection was in August 2017.
We have achieved e-Quality counts which is NDNA’s flagship accreditation scheme and the only quality improvement scheme specifically for nurseries. It enables us to review quality and practice in all areas against, a set of best Nursery practice standards. It allows us to ensure that the children at our Nursery receive the best possible care and early learning education.
“Nurseries that achieve e-Quality counts demonstrate exemplary childcare above and beyond the requirements of the regulators.” – taken from the NDNA website. We are currently working towards CHASPS (Healthy and Sustainable Pre-School Scheme) which is a National Award for Nutrition and Oral Health.
